Visited from NC and the food was impeccable. We underestimated this place! The service was phenomenal. Our server Candy B made us feel right at home! She was personable and so sweet! She even doubled as our bartender...make sure to tip her well! We'd come back just for her (if not the food). Besides that, the food was great, the atmosphere was great and the location was easy to find. Highly recommend!

We went here based on the reviews alone and I'm so glad we did. Service was great, but a little slow and I think it had to do with being prime brunch time. For perspective we waited 30 mins for our appetizer and 45 - 60 minutes for our entrees, but the server was attentive and communicated updates about our order which was appreciated. The food was worth the wait. We ordered the pimento cheese dip that was recommended by the server, The Everett with sweet potato fries, "The Guy" Burger with fried brussels, and The Big Easy with fried okra. The pimento cheese dip with the honey drizzle was very good and I really liked how they buttered and toasted the saltine crackers. The Everett was perfect, the server asked me how spicy I wanted it. I went with the hottest available which was ghost pepper honey. It was actually fairly spicy, which I'm all in for so keep that in mind. It would have been nice if the menu listed spice options, but thankfully the server informed me. The Guy Burger was fantastic and cooked to a perfect medium-well. The Big Easy was my wife's favorite because the beer batter on the shrimp was perfectly done and the portion was huge. I could've just eaten a plate of that shrimp by itself. They have Louisiana hot sauce available. The fried okra was amazing, the sweet potato fries were good, but dusted with sugar which is not my favorite way to eat them. If you like the crispy slightly burnt pieces of brussels when you bake them at home then you're in luck because here they give you a bowl full covered in a light balsamic glaze. Don't hesitate to ask for ranch dressing because its definitely house made and delicious.

First time dining here and I was pleased! Our server Candy was literally so sweet! Our food came out promptly and was very good. I tried the fried green tomatoes and the 2 piece dark. The hot wings actually had a kick to them, which I appreciated. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here while waiting for our flights to go back home. My son had the country fried steak. It was juicy. My husband had Southern mild chicken with fried Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. Old fashioned was to die for. Next time I am on knoxville will definitely come back.

Ok WOW! I’m from Arizona and this was my first taste of southern food and I was not disappointed. Me and my kids could not get enough of the chicken pot pie. And the grits were so flavorful and delicious. The staff was so friendly and made it such a comfy place to dine with the kids. I wish I could go back. Guess I’ll have to visit again.

My hubby made a reservation here for our anniversary and hit a home run! Upon entering the atmosphere was casual and fun. We had great friendly service and enjoyed every bite of the food prepared for us. Recommend the green tomatoes as a starter- we want to bottle the habanero honey!!! There is a parking lot across the street for convenience and we enjoyed a walk around old town after dinner.

While in town for the GA/TN football game and stumbled upon this place after noticing a line waiting for it to open. Snagged the last seat at the counter and had a magnificent breakfast with chicken, biscuit, egg and gravy, bacon all in bed together. It was true Southern Grit at its best. The atmosphere was also enchanting and the bartender Brittany was on her game and made it all the more magical. I’d eat here every week if it were possible.

I don't just give raving reviews all the time. But this place deserves one. Elevated southern comfort food, done right. Located in a convenient swanky location. The bright open floor layout is clean and comfortable. Staff was polite and helpful. Mcgill breakfast: Biscuits were tasty, but a tab heavy, but my friends were big and fluffy. The gravy was well seasoned and tasted like a proper saw mill gravy. The hashbrown casserole was slightly dry but very good. Chicken was seasoned and juicy. But the star of the plate was the over easy eggs. They were actually over easy and not overcooked. Perfect! 2 Pice White meat meal: southern fried, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Get the hot sauce on the side. The mild is actually pretty warm. Mac-n-cheese was slightly dry, but good. The Cheese grits were smooth and seasoned. Brussel Slaw was good, but too much mayo. Chicken Pot Pie: Delicious and super filling. Pros: Great food, friendly staff, clean, convenient parking, large portions Cons: Price, Paid Parking
